Islamabad Traffic Police Amplifies Road Safety Efforts with Awareness Seminar and Community Outreach


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has intensified its public awareness initiatives focusing on traffic rules and road safety, as highlighted by a recent seminar organized at the Punjab Rangers Headquarters. The event concentrated on safe driving practices and traffic regulations to reduce accidents and enhance safety on the roads.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad, Kainat Azhar Khan, attended the seminar as the chief guest. The education wing of the ITP delivered a detailed lecture emphasizing the importance of obeying traffic laws and adopting precautionary measures while driving. CTO Khan remarked that adherence to traffic regulations is essential for preventing road accidents and safeguarding citizens’ lives and property.



The Islamabad Traffic Police, in collaboration with various institutions, is actively conducting awareness programs aimed at increasing public understanding of traffic rules. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to ensure safer roads for everyone. The seminar concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields between officers of the Punjab Rangers and the Islamabad Traffic Police.



In addition to the seminar, CTO Khan, alongside the education wing, visited the F-10 Markaz area to engage with the business community and local residents. During this visit, she provided information on traffic regulations, parking discipline, and road safety, while addressing concerns raised by citizens and traders. She directed relevant officers to take immediate action to resolve these issues.



CTO Khan emphasized that resolving citizens’ and the business community’s issues, improving traffic flow, and raising awareness about road safety remain top priorities for the Islamabad Traffic Police. She urged citizens to view compliance with traffic laws as a civic duty and to cooperate with the police. The business community expressed gratitude to CTO Khan, reaffirming their commitment to ongoing collaboration with the Islamabad Traffic Police.
