Islamabad to Host International Conference on Economic Empowerment


Islamabad: Islamabad is set to host the “International Conference on Inclusive and Resilient Economic Empowerment and Growth,” a two-day event beginning this Tuesday. The conference will feature participation from representatives of twelve countries, aiming to foster discussions on economic empowerment and growth.



According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Poverty Alleviation Syed Imran Ahmad Shah announced at a news conference that approximately 400 participants, including researchers, policymakers, and representatives from both the private sector and civil society, are expected to attend. The Minister expressed confidence that the conference will act as a national platform to enhance collaborative efforts against poverty.



Highlighting the efforts of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund, Shah noted that the fund is active in 157 districts, with 171,200 community centers established to support vulnerable communities.
