Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, Over 684 Individuals Checked

ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and enhance security, the Islamabad Police have conducted a series of intensified search and combing operations across the federal capital, leading to the checking of more than 684 individuals. The initiative follows special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations, supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs, saw the inspection of 226 households, 40 hotels, 80 shops, 266 motorcycles, and 101 vehicles. The operations resulted in one Afghan national, 36 suspicious individuals, 25 motorcycles, and one vehicle being transferred to the police station for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the primary objective of these operations is to clamp down on criminal elements and bolster security throughout the city. The police reiterated their commitment to taking indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15”.
