Islamabad Police Intensify Search Operations, Over 509 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and tighten security, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across various areas of the capital, checking over 509 individuals, according to a press release from Islamabad Capital Police.



The operations, initiated under the directive of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight by zonal SPs. The comprehensive checks included 303 households, 47 hotels, 80 shops, 203 motorcycles, and 82 vehicles. As a result, 38 individuals and 21 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations aim to enhance security and exert pressure on criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers throughout the district. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15”.
