ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and enhance security, the Islamabad Police have conducted comprehensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking a total of 294 individuals. The operations, initiated under the directive of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, were aimed at cracking down on criminal elements.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The police checked 138 households, 11 shops, 2 hotels, 226 motorcycles, and 77 vehicles. During the operations, 13 suspicious individuals and 27 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, individuals involved in possessing illegal weapons were arrested, and two pistols along with ammunition were recovered.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the goal of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and improve safety across the city. He noted that such operations are being carried out in various areas of the district as part of an ongoing effort to combat criminal activity, land grabbing, and drug dealing.
