ISLAMABAD: Over 537 individuals and numerous properties were examined in a citywide search operation conducted by the Islamabad Police as part of an intensified effort to combat crime in the capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, with SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza overseeing the initiative. The operations, which were meticulously monitored by the respective zonal SPs, aimed to crack down on criminal elements across the city.

During the comprehensive search efforts, 213 households, 41 hotels, 99 shops, 231 motorcycles, and 108 vehicles were thoroughly inspected. Authorities detained 18 suspicious individuals and 20 motorcycles for further verification at local police stations. Additionally, arrests were made in connection with drug trafficking, resulting in the recovery of 448 grams of the synthetic drug ice.

SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to enhance security and tighten enforcement against criminal activities within the city. The police have committed to continuing indiscriminate actions against criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers, in various areas throughout the district.
