Islamabad Police Intensifies Search Operations Targeting Criminal Activities

ISLAMABAD: More than 230 individuals were scrutinized during extensive search operations across the federal capital as part of a crackdown aiming to curb crime and apprehend criminal elements.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the intensified search operations were initiated following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. These operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs.

During the operations, police checked 128 households, 39 hotels, 34 shops, 197 motorcycles, and 53 vehicles. Four individuals deemed suspicious and 20 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Two individuals were arrested for possessing illegal weapons, with two pistols and ammunition recovered from them.

SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the primary aim of these operations is to tighten control over criminal activities and enhance security in the city. He emphasized that such operations are ongoing throughout the district as part of the police’s indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
