Islamabad Police Intensifies Search Operations, Over 630 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police, under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has stepped up its efforts to combat crime through comprehensive search and combing operations across the capital. These operations have led to the checking of over 630 individuals and resulted in several arrests.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with monitoring by respective zonal SPs. The extensive checks included 241 households, four hotels, 18 shops, 293 motorcycles, and 92 vehicles. Fourteen suspicious individuals and 35 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification, and one person was arrested for illegal possession of weapons.



SSP Operations Islamabad highlighted that the initiative aims to tighten security and exert pressure on criminal elements. The police have been actively conducting these operations in various districts, targeting criminal activities, land grabbing, and drug dealing. The public is encouraged to report any suspicious activity to their nearest police station or contact the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
