ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has significantly ramped up its search and combing operations across the federal capital, following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. These efforts aim to reduce crime and target criminal elements, resulting in the scrutiny of over 592 individuals, along with checks on households, shops, hotels, motorcycles, and vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and were closely monitored by zonal SPs. The comprehensive checks include 291 households, 45 shops, 17 hotels, 255 motorcycles, and 96 vehicles. Furthermore, 10 individuals deemed suspicious and 30 motorcycles were transferred to the police station for further verification.

The operations also led to the arrest of individuals found in possession of illegal weapons, with police recovering two pistols of various calibers and ammunition. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these operations aim to tighten control over criminal elements and improve security throughout the city. The Islamabad Police remains committed to taking indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers across different areas of the district.
