ISLAMABAD: Over 542 individuals were scrutinized during a series of comprehensive search operations conducted by the Islamabad Police in the capital city, as part of efforts to combat crime and apprehend criminal elements.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out under the special directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The initiatives aimed at curbing criminal activities were led by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The search efforts involved checking 258 households, 25 hotels, 74 shops, 294 motorcycles, and 84 vehicles. Additionally, 18 individuals and 37 motorcycles deemed suspicious were taken to the police station for further investigation.
SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the operations are designed to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance the city’s security. The police are conducting similar operations across various districts within the city, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers, as part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order.
