ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb criminal activities and enhance security across the federal capital, Islamabad Police conducted extensive search and combing operations, checking over 1,300 individuals. The operations were carried out following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the search operations were led by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by respective zonal SPs. The operations resulted in the checking of 1,324 individuals, 380 households, 75 shops, 21 hotels, 213 motorcycles, and 67 vehicles. As a result, 42 suspicious individuals and 24 motorcycles were taken to police stations for further verification. Additionally, two drug peddlers were arrested with 1,070 grams of heroin and 250 grams of crystal meth seized from their possession.

SSP Operations stated that the objective of these operations is to tighten control over criminal elements and improve citywide security. The police have been active in conducting similar operations across different areas of the district, maintaining indiscriminate action against criminals, land grabbers, and drug dealers.

Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activities to their nearest police station or through the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15.”
