ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime, the Islamabad Police have amplified their search and combing operations across the city, checking over 784 individuals in a recent initiative. These operations are part of a broader strategy to crack down on criminal elements and ensure public safety, as directed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with monitoring by respective zonal SPs. Over the course of the operations, law enforcement officials checked 346 households, 52 shops, 3 hotels, 280 motorcycles, and 115 vehicles. As a result, 43 suspicious individuals, along with 37 motorcycles and 2 vehicles, were taken to police stations for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that these operations aim to tighten the noose around criminal elements and bolster security in the city. The police have been conducting similar operations in various areas throughout the district, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers without discrimination.

The police have urged citizens to report any suspicious activity promptly to their nearest police station or via the emergency helpline “Pucaar-15.”
