Islamabad Police Intensifies Search Operations, Checks Over 687 Individuals in Crime Crackdown

ISLAMABAD: In an effort to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the thorough checking of 687 individuals. These operations were carried out following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the intensive operations were led by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and closely monitored by zonal SPs. During the operations, authorities checked 328 households, 86 hotels, 146 shops, 348 motorcycles, and 127 vehicles. The police also detained three Afghan nationals, 42 suspicious individuals, and 33 motorcycles for further verification. Additionally, two individuals were arrested for possessing illegal weapons, with two pistols and ammunition seized.

SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the main goal of these operations is to tighten security and address criminal activities across the city. The police are conducting similar operations in various areas throughout the district, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
