ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to address criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have launched intensified search and combing operations across various parts of the federal capital. These measures, directed by Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aim to curtail crime rates and apprehend criminal elements.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight from respective zonal SPs. During the operations, authorities thoroughly checked 651 individuals, 219 households, 83 shops, 37 hotels, 287 motorcycles, and 122 vehicles. As a result, 15 individuals deemed suspicious and 23 motorcycles were taken to police stations for further investigation.

The operations also led to the arrest of individuals found in possession of illegal weapons, with two pistols and accompanying ammunition recovered. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that these efforts are part of a broader initiative to tighten security across the city and target criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers, through indiscriminate actions.
