ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have ramped up search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital, checking over 621 individuals as part of an effort to curb crime and target criminal elements. This initiative comes following special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During these operations, 313 households, 78 shops, 22 hotels, 299 motorcycles, and 85 vehicles were checked. Authorities shifted 16 suspicious individuals, 14 motorcycles, and 36 vehicles to the police station for further verification. The operations also led to the arrest of two criminals.

SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the objective of these search initiatives is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security throughout the city. The police emphasize that such operations are conducted across different areas of the district, maintaining an indiscriminate approach against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
