Islamabad Police Intensifies Citywide Search Operations, Over 415 Individuals Checked


ISLAMABAD: Over 415 individuals were checked during a series of intensified search operations conducted by the Islamabad Police in various parts of the federal capital, as part of a broader effort to curb crime and target criminal elements.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were carried out following special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. These comprehensive search and combing efforts were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. The operations involved the thorough checking of 183 households, 14 hotels, 74 shops, 185 motorcycles, and 65 vehicles.



Among those checked, one Afghan national, 28 suspicious individuals, and 19 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Arrests were made in connection with drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons, with authorities recovering 352 grams of ice and one pistol with ammunition.



SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized that the goal of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal activities and enhance security across the city. The Islamabad Police remain committed to taking indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers as part of ongoing efforts to maintain law and order.
