Islamabad: In an effort to reinforce security measures and curb criminal activities in the federal capital, the Islamabad Police conducted extensive search operations across multiple police station jurisdictions. These actions were carried out under the directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, resulting in the checking of 2,062 individuals and various properties.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by zonal SPs and included thorough checks of 956 houses, 263 shops, 60 hotels, 732 motorcycles, and 276 vehicles. As a result, three Afghan nationals residing illegally, 47 suspicious individuals, and 55 motorcycles were taken to police stations for further legal proceedings. Additionally, a suspect involved in drug trafficking was apprehended, with 522 grams of hashish recovered from his possession.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza stated that the primary aim of these operations is to tighten security around criminal elements and enhance the city’s overall security framework. He also affirmed the commitment of Islamabad Police to continue taking firm actions against criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers. Citizens are encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activities through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15”.
