ISLAMABAD: In an effort to bolster security within the federal capital, the Islamabad Police have undertaken significant measures following directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. According to Islamabad Capital Police, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt and SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza visited multiple police checkpoints and duty points to assess and enhance security protocols.

During their visits, the SSPs scrutinized the existing checking procedures and urged officers to augment their effectiveness to better safeguard citizens’ lives and property. They instructed police personnel to maintain a high level of vigilance, ensuring thorough checks of individuals and vehicles that appear suspicious, and to promptly report any unusual activities to senior officials.

The SSPs also stressed the importance of police officers engaging with the community in a courteous and respectful manner to build trust between the police force and the public. The Islamabad Police reiterated that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains their primary focus, with all security measures implemented towards achieving this goal.

Citizens have been encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement by reporting any suspicious persons or activities to their local police station or via the police helpline, Pucar-15.
