Islamabad Police Conducts Flag March to Ensure Security During Muharram-ul-Haram

Islamabad: The Islamabad Police, under the directive of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, conducted a flag march aimed at ensuring peace and security during Muharram-ul-Haram. The initiative was intended to maintain law and order and protect the lives and property of citizens.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the flag march was spearheaded by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with participation from ADCG Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf, officers and personnel of the Islamabad Police, and representatives from other law enforcement agencies. The march began at the Pakistan Sports Complex and traversed major roads and key areas before concluding back at the sports complex.

The event was designed to underscore the police’s commitment to fostering peace and unity during Muharram-ul-Haram and to bolster public confidence in security measures. SSP Operations highlighted that comprehensive security arrangements are in place for all religious gatherings and processions, with coordinated efforts among police, district administration, and other agencies to handle any potential incidents.

SSP Operations also called on organizers, religious leaders, and citizens to adhere strictly to the code of conduct and SOPs for Muharram-ul-Haram, emphasizing the monitoring of social media to prevent the spread of religious or sectarian hatred. Legal actions are promised against those attempting to disrupt public peace.

In a message to the citizens, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza urged cooperation with authorities to uphold law and order, promoting a peaceful atmosphere of tolerance and brotherhood in Islamabad during the religious observance.
