Islamabad Police Conducts Extensive Search Operations, Over 547 Individuals Checked

ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and combat crime, the Islamabad Police conducted a series of extensive search and combing operations across various parts of the federal capital, resulting in the checking of over 547 individuals, including households, hotels, shops, motorcycles, and vehicles.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were initiated following special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During these operations, 217 households, 31 hotels, 58 shops, 223 motorcycles, and 93 vehicles were thoroughly inspected. Of those checked, 10 suspicious individuals and 19 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification, leading to arrests related to illegal weapons possession, with two pistols and ammunition being recovered.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the purpose of these operations is to tighten the grip on criminal elements and bolster security across the city. He further noted that such operations are being conducted systematically in different areas throughout the district, with a focus on indiscriminate action against criminals, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
