Islamabad Police Conducts Extensive Search Operations, Checks Over 785 Individuals

ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to curb crime and enhance security across the federal capital, the Islamabad Police have intensified search and combing operations under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations, which took place citywide, involved thorough checks of individuals and properties, resulting in multiple arrests and seizures.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. A total of 785 individuals were checked, alongside 348 households, 68 hotels, 145 shops, 321 motorcycles, and 95 vehicles. Among those checked, one Afghan national, 32 suspicious individuals, and 33 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, two individuals were arrested for possessing illegal weapons, with two pistols and ammunition recovered from them.

The SSP Operations emphasized that these operations aim to tighten control over criminal elements and ensure enhanced security throughout the city. The police have committed to continue these efforts indiscriminately across various areas, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
