ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat crime and apprehend criminal elements, the Islamabad Police have intensified their search and combing operations across various areas of the federal capital, resulting in over 523 individuals being checked. This initiative follows special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the comprehensive search operations were led by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, with oversight provided by the respective zonal SPs. The operations involved thorough checks of 225 households, 53 shops, 29 hotels, 300 motorcycles, and 99 vehicles. During the process, 21 suspicious individuals and 27 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.

In addition to these efforts, arrests were made in connection with the possession of illegal weapons, resulting in the recovery of two pistols of various calibers and accompanying ammunition. SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the primary goal of these operations is to curtail criminal activities and bolster security measures across the city. The police department remains committed to conducting similar operations throughout the district to take decisive action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
