Islamabad Police Conduct Comprehensive Search Operations Targeting Crime

ISLAMABAD: Following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the city’s law enforcement has initiated extensive search operations aimed at mitigating criminal activities and bolstering the safety and security of the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations have been carried out across multiple police jurisdictions under the supervision of zonal SPs. The operations involved detailed inspections of 712 individuals, 1,108 houses, 182 shops, 32 hotels, 381 motorcycles, and 141 vehicles. As a result, 20 Afghan nationals residing illegally, 56 suspicious persons, 47 motorcycles, and two vehicles were detained for further legal action.

In addition, arrests were made for possession of illegal weapons, with law enforcement recovering four pistols and associated ammunition. SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, highlighted the operations’ focus on tightening security against criminal elements and reinforcing the city’s overall security structure.

The police have committed to ongoing operations targeting criminals, land grabbers, and drug traffickers, urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.”
