Islamabad Police Conduct Citywide Search Operations, Over 556 Individuals Checked

ISLAMABAD: Over 556 individuals were checked during citywide search operations in Islamabad as part of intensified efforts to curb crime and crack down on criminal elements. The operations were conducted following special directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the grand search and combing operations were carried out under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, with monitoring by the respective zonal SPs. During these operations, a total of 193 households, 35 hotels, 96 shops, 269 motorcycles, and 72 vehicles were thoroughly inspected. Additionally, one Afghan national, 18 suspicious individuals, and 32 motorcycles were transferred to the police station for further verification.

SSP Operations Islamabad stated that the objective of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and enhance security across the city. Such operations are being conducted in various areas throughout the district, with the Islamabad Police continuing its indiscriminate action against criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
