ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have intensified search operations across the capital, checking over 513 individuals as part of a crackdown on criminal elements. This initiative follows directives from Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to enhance security in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the comprehensive operations were overseen by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. The operations involved checking 249 households, 52 hotels, 90 shops, 198 motorcycles, and 88 vehicles. Additionally, 13 suspicious individuals and 21 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad emphasized the objective of these operations is to tighten the noose around criminal elements and improve security across Islamabad. The police are conducting these operations in various areas throughout the district, targeting criminal elements, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
