Islamabad Police Arrests 58 Suspects; Drugs and Weapons Seized

ISLAMABAD: In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 58 individuals suspected of various offenses, recovering a substantial quantity of drugs and weapons in the process. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations, led by multiple police teams, resulted in the arrest of 16 individuals linked to diverse criminal activities. The police seized 693 grams of ice, 1,060 grams of hashish, 560 grams of heroin, along with three knives and five pistols with ammunition from the suspects. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway.

The police also launched a dedicated campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, leading to the arrest of 42 additional suspects. The operations are part of a broader strategy directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to maintain peace and order in the capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of residents and preventing any disruptions to public peace. Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to assist in the eradication of crime.
