ISLAMABAD: In a major crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 22 individuals and confiscated a significant amount of drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Shalimar, Golra, Tarnol, Sabzi Mandi, Kirpa, and Bani Gala police stations apprehended 10 suspects linked to various criminal acts. The operations led to the recovery of 3,592 grams of heroin, 205 grams of ice, 30 bottles of liquor, and six pistols with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway.
Additionally, efforts to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of 12 more individuals. The initiative follows directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the force intensifies its efforts to maintain peace in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the department’s dedication to safeguarding residents and ensuring public order. The police have encouraged citizens to report any suspicious activities to local stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster community collaboration in combating crime.
