Islamabad Police Arrests 21 Suspects, Recovers Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat crime, Islamabad Police have arrested 21 individuals accused of various criminal activities, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. According to Islamabad Capital Police, five suspects were apprehended with 1081 grams of ice and three pistols with ammunition. Legal cases have been filed against them, and investigations are underway.



Additionally, in a targeted campaign aimed at apprehending proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams detained 16 more criminals. This operation aligns with directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized a robust crackdown on crime to maintain peace in the federal capital. Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and property.



The police have urged citizens to report suspicious activities to local stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster cooperation in eradicating crime.
