ISLAMABAD: Law enforcement authorities in Islamabad have arrested 21 individuals suspected of criminal activities, recovering a significant quantity of drugs and weapons in the process. The operation, aimed at curbing crime in the federal capital, resulted in the seizure of 1,100 grams of hashish, 980 grams of heroin, 276 grams of ice, 22 bottles of liquor, and a pistol with ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated against those detained, with investigations currently underway.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the arrests were part of a broader initiative instructed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The campaign, designed to target proclaimed offenders and absconders, led to the apprehension of 10 additional suspects. This move is part of the Islamabad Police’s ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.

SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s dedication to safeguarding the community, stating that the authorities will not tolerate any disturbances to public order. The police department prioritizes the protection of citizens’ lives and property, and urges residents to report any suspicious activities. The public is encouraged to use the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to assist in the joint effort to eliminate crime.
