ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have apprehended 13 individuals and recovered weapons in a series of operations aimed at curbing criminal activity in the city. The arrests were made by police teams from the Industrial Area, Koral, and Nilore stations, leading to the recovery of three pistols and ammunition. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were part of an initiative to capture proclaimed offenders and absconders, resulting in the arrest of 10 additional suspects. This effort aligns with directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, emphasizing a persistent crackdown on crime to maintain peace in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza reiterated the police’s dedication to safeguarding residents’ lives and properties, assuring that disturbances to public peace will not be tolerated. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to enhance cooperation between the community and law enforcement in combating crime.
