ISLAMABAD: In a series of operations, the Islamabad Police have apprehended 11 individuals linked to criminal activities, recovering drugs and weapons in the process. The arrests follow a concerted effort by law enforcement to curb crime and maintain peace in the region.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, eight suspects were detained for involvement in various offenses. The police confiscated 45 grams of hashish, 160 grams of ice, and three pistols with ammunition from the arrested individuals. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway to gather more information.
Additionally, a special campaign aimed at capturing proclaimed offenders and absconders resulted in the arrest of three more criminals. This initiative is part of a broader strategy directed by Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to enhance security and peace in the federal capital.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding residents and maintaining public order. The police continue to prioritize peace and citizen protection, urging the public to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15.” This collaborative effort between the police and the community seeks to eliminate crime from society.
