Islamabad Police Arrests 1 Suspected Criminals and Recovers Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: In a significant crackdown on criminal activities, the Islamabad Police have arrested 1 individuals suspected of various criminal offenses and recovered drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from several police stations, including Aabpara, Tarnol, Sangjani, Sabzi Mandi, Khanna, Humak, Shehzad Town, and Bani Gala, detained 16 individuals allegedly involved in criminal activities. The police seized 661 grams of hashish, four bottles of liquor, and 14 pistols with ammunition from the suspects. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the accused as investigations continue.



Additionally, during a targeted campaign to apprehend proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams successfully arrested four more individuals. These operations are part of a directive from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aimed at maintaining peace and safety in the federal capital.



SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized the police’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and properties of residents, stating that no efforts will be spared in preventing disruptions to public peace. The Islamabad Police also urge citizens to report any suspicious activities promptly to the relevant authorities or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to foster cooperation in combating crime.
