Islamabad, The Islamabad Capital Police have successfully apprehended a key member of a notorious bike lifter gang, recovering two stolen motorbikes in the process. This arrest is part of a broader crackdown against criminal activities in the city, aiming to protect the lives and property of its citizens.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operation was conducted by the Phulgran police team, who, under the direction of the Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, have intensified efforts against criminal elements. The move is in line with the department’s commitment to safeguard public safety and property.
The police team, employing both technical and human resources, managed to track down and arrest Saad Abbasi, a wanted member of the bike lifter gang. Abbasi is known for his involvement in numerous bike thefts in the areas under the jurisdiction of the Phulgran police station. Along with the arrest, two stolen motorbikes were seized from his possession.
Cases have been registered against Abbasi, and further investigations are ongoing. In light of this success, ICCPO Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan has instructed all senior officials to intensify the crackdown against individuals involved in criminal activities. He emphasized that ensuring the safety of citizens and their property is a prime responsibility, and no leniency will be tolerated in these efforts.
