ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have arrested five individuals involved in criminal activities and seized drugs and weapons in a recent operation across multiple police stations in the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Sangjani, Golra, Secretariat, Noon, Shams Colony, and Koral police stations participated in the operation. The police recovered 825 grams of hashish, 20 bottles of liquor, seven pistols with ammunition, and two daggers from the suspects. Legal cases have been registered, and further investigations are ongoing.
The crackdown follows specific directives from IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aiming to maintain peace and security in the federal capital. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza stated that the police are dedicated to safeguarding lives and property, emphasizing that any threats to public peace will not be tolerated. Citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious activities to local authorities or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to assist in crime prevention efforts.
