Islamabad Police Arrest 69 Outlaws, Recover Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: In a significant law enforcement operation, the Islamabad Police have arrested 69 individuals involved in various criminal activities, recovering a substantial haul of drugs and weapons. The arrests were made by teams from several police stations, including Sihala, Shalimar, Secretariat, Tarnol, Industrial Area, Lohi Bher, Shehzad Town, Sangjani, and Khana.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, 20 individuals were apprehended for their involvement in criminal activities. The police seized 2,362 grams of heroin, one kilogram of Ice, 15 bottles of liquor, one rifle, and seven pistols along with ammunition from the accused. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and investigations are underway.

A special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders led to the arrest of 49 additional criminals. These efforts align with the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, who has emphasized a robust crackdown on crime to maintain peace in the federal capital.

Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, reiterated the police force’s commitment to safeguarding residents and maintaining public order. The Islamabad Police urge citizens to report suspicious activities through local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to enhance cooperation in crime prevention efforts.
