Islamabad Police Arrest 44 Suspects, Seize Drugs and Weapons


ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have announced the arrest of 44 individuals linked to various criminal activities, along with the seizure of drugs and firearms. This operation is part of an ongoing effort to clamp down on crime in the federal capital.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, eight suspects were apprehended for their involvement in different crimes, with officers recovering 324 grams of ice, 16 bottles of liquor, and six pistols with ammunition. Cases have been registered against the suspects, and investigations are in progress. In a separate campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams arrested an additional 36 individuals.



Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed a continued crackdown on crime, aiming to maintain peace and security in the region. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police’s commitment to safeguarding the community, stating that disrupting public peace will not be tolerated. The Islamabad Police prioritize the safety of residents and urge citizens to report suspicious activities through their local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to aid in crime prevention efforts.
