Islamabad: In a major crackdown, the Islamabad Police have arrested 31 individuals allegedly involved in various criminal activities, including drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. The operation, conducted by multiple police stations across the city, also led to the recovery of a significant quantity of drugs and firearms.

The police teams from PS Koshar, PS Karachi Company, PS Sangjani, PS Industrial Area, PS Shams Colony, PS Khana, PS Lohi Bher, PS Barakho, and PS Shahzad Town were involved in the operation. Legal actions have been initiated against those apprehended for their alleged criminal activities.

Among the arrested, 19 individuals were found in possession of 5,695 grams of heroin, 1,627 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 30 bottles of wine, and eight pistols with ammunition. The authorities have registered cases against these suspects, and investigations are ongoing.

As part of the ongoing campaign against court absconders and proclaimed offenders, the police arrested 12 individuals wanted for serious crimes such as murder, attempted murder, and land grabbing.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Muhammad Shoaib Khan, stated that the police force is committed to ensuring the safety and security of citizens in the federal capital. He emphasized that no group or individual will be allowed to disturb the peace and that protecting lives and property remains the top priority of the Islamabad Police.
