Islamabad Police Arrest 16 Criminals, Seize Drugs and Weapons

ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to combat crime, the Islamabad Police have arrested 16 individuals involved in various criminal activities and recovered drugs and weapons, including liquor bottles and pistols. These arrests are part of an ongoing campaign to ensure safety and order in the federal capital.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations led to the apprehension of four individuals directly implicated in criminal activities. The police seized five bottles of liquor and three pistols with ammunition from these suspects. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them, and investigations are currently underway. Additionally, the police, through a special campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, successfully detained 14 more criminals.

The crackdown follows directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the police intensify efforts to curb crime and enhance security across the city. Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the police force’s dedication to safeguarding the community’s welfare, asserting that maintaining peace and protecting citizens remains their paramount priority.

Residents are encouraged to assist law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities to local police stations or via the emergency helpline “Pucar-15,” reinforcing the collaboration between the police and the public to eradicate crime effectively.
