Islamabad Police Arrest 15 Criminals, Seize Drugs and Weapons


Islamabad: Islamabad Police have arrested 15 individuals involved in various criminal activities, including drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. The arrests were made during a series of operations across the city, resulting in the recovery of drugs and firearms.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, police teams from Industrial Area, Sabzi Mandi, Noon, Koral, and Kirpa stations apprehended five individuals for drug peddling and illegal weapons possession. The teams recovered 1,200 grams of heroin, 600 grams of hashish, and a pistol with ammunition. Additionally, 10 absconders were arrested in the past 24 hours.



Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Raza reaffirmed the police’s commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property, emphasizing that no one will be allowed to disrupt the peace in the federal capital. He urged citizens to report suspicious activities to their local police station or through the “Pukar-15” emergency helpline or “ICT 15” app, emphasizing the importance of public cooperation in maintaining security.
