ISLAMABAD: In a recent operation, the Islamabad Police have detained 14 individuals and seized various illegal items, including drugs and weapons. According to Islamabad Capital Police, teams from the Kohsar, Ramna, Sumbal, Tarnol, Koral, Humak, and Bhara Kahu police stations arrested 10 individuals linked to criminal activities. The police confiscated 475 grams of crystal meth, nine bottles of liquor, four pistols with ammunition, and a dagger. Legal proceedings have been initiated, and further investigations are ongoing.
Additionally, in a dedicated campaign targeting proclaimed offenders and absconders, police teams apprehended four more criminals. The operation aligns with directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, as the force strengthens efforts to combat crime in the capital.
Senior Superintendent of Police Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized the Islamabad Police’s commitment to safeguarding residents’ lives and property, stating that no disruptions to public peace will be tolerated. Citizens are encouraged to report suspicious activities to local police stations or through the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” to enhance collaboration between the police and the community in eliminating crime.
