Islamabad, The capital city was imbued with patriotism and martial spirit as it hosted the grand Pakistan Day Military Parade at Shakarparian parade avenue, showcasing the might and dedication of Pakistan’s armed forces in a vibrant and meticulously orchestrated display.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event was graced by the presence of the Saudi Defense Minister as the guest of honour, along with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, various service chiefs, and other dignitaries. The parade featured an array of military hardware and personnel from different branches of the armed forces, including an aerial display by the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy, incorporating advanced aircraft such as the J-10 C, JF-17 Thunder, F-16, Mirage jets, as well as AWACs, P-3C Orion, and ATR aircraft.
Ground forces, including army, navy, and air force contingents, alongside the Special Services Group, Frontier Corps, Rangers, and regional police forces, demonstrated their discipline and unity with precise march-pasts. The mechanized columns displayed a robust lineup of military technology, including tanks, armored personnel carriers, rocket launchers, and a range of missiles, emphasizing Pakistan’s strategic defense capabilities.
Notably, the parade also highlighted international camaraderie with troops from Azerbaijan and China participating, reinforcing the message of solidarity and partnership. The aerial acrobatics by Sherdils and formations of JF-17 and F-16 jets captivated the audience, painting the sky with dynamic maneuvers and vibrant colors.
Cultural floats representing Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and the provinces added a festive dimension to the event, showcasing the nation’s diverse heritage. The parade was punctuated by a skydiving display from the Special Services Group and concluded with a poignant patriotic song, leaving a lasting impression of national pride and military excellence.
This year’s parade not only celebrated Pakistan’s historical journey but also affirmed its commitment to peace, progress, and partnership on the international stage.
