Islamabad: The Safe City networks of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are set to be interconnected to enhance crime prevention and enable more effective joint operations. This development was discussed during a meeting between SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and SSP Safe City Rawalpindi Aamna Baig, which included other key officials.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting focused on strategies for quicker crime tracing, particularly in resolving vehicle theft cases. The integration aims to promote coordinated efforts between the police forces of both districts, ensuring 24-hour monitoring and real-time coordination to protect citizens’ lives and property.
In a separate meeting chaired by SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza reviewed the law and order situation with Zonal SPs, emphasizing crime prevention and security measures. Officers were directed to expedite under-investigation cases and utilize all resources to prevent crime and arrest suspects involved in serious offenses. The SSP stressed the importance of targeted operations against criminal gangs and strict action against illegal activities, with a focus on maintaining active patrol units to safeguard citizens. Any negligence in duties, he warned, would not be tolerated.
