ISLAMABAD: The Iranian President, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, has landed in Islamabad, marking the beginning of his state visit to Pakistan. Upon his arrival, he was greeted by a delegation of high-ranking Pakistani officials, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit also saw the arrival of Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi earlier in the day as part of the delegation accompanying President Pezeshkian. Foreign Minister Araghchi was received at Nur Khan Airbase by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar.
The visit underscores the strong ties between Pakistan and Iran, which are rooted in shared history, faith, and culture. The Pakistani leadership and citizens have extended a warm welcome to the Iranian delegation, signaling the enduring relationship between the two nations.
