Iranian Interior Minister Meets with Pakistani Prime Minister for Bilateral Talks


Islamabad: H.E. Mr. Eskandar Momeni, the Interior Minister of Iran, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad as part of an official visit to Pakistan. The meeting, held at the Prime Minister House, included discussions on regional stability and strengthening bilateral relations.



According to Press Information Department, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sen. Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister for Interior & Narcotics Control Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, and other senior officials. The Prime Minister welcomed the Iranian delegation and extended his regards to Iran’s leadership. Recalling his recent visit to Tehran for the funeral of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, he emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace in the Gulf region and its role as a mediator.



Interior Minister Momeni expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the purpose of his visit to enhance bilateral ties. He acknowledged the mediation efforts by Prime Minister Sharif and other Pakistani leaders that led to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, and he extended greetings from Iran’s leadership.
