Iranian Ambassador Commends Pakistan’s Role in Facilitating Islamabad Talks

ISLAMABAD: The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating the Islamabad Talks, highlighting the roles of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. The ambassador acknowledged Pakistan’s initiative as a significant step toward fostering a diplomatic process aimed at establishing a sustainable framework for all parties involved.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ambassador Moghadam, in a statement on his X handle, emphasized that the Islamabad Talks should be viewed as a process rather than a singular event. He praised the efforts of various sectors within Pakistan, including the government, military, police, and security forces, for their contributions to managing and facilitating the talks. The discussions were conducted in a secure and orderly environment, providing equal logistical opportunities for both parties.

Ambassador Moghadam further noted that the Iranian delegation engaged in the talks with the intention of safeguarding and promoting the national interests and legitimate rights of the Iranian people.
