Islamabad: The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed his appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating the Islamabad Talks. The ambassador specifically acknowledged the efforts of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir in initiating the discussions aimed at fostering diplomatic engagement.

According to Radio Pakistan, Moghadam conveyed his gratitude in a statement on his X handle, emphasizing that the Islamabad Talks represent an ongoing diplomatic process rather than a singular event. He highlighted that the discussions have established a foundation for a sustainable framework that serves the interests of all involved parties.

The ambassador also praised the concerted efforts of various sectors in Pakistan, including the government, military, police, and security forces, for their role in orchestrating and managing the talks. He noted that the discussions were conducted in a dignified atmosphere, with balanced logistical support for both sides, ensuring a calm and secure environment.

Moghadam underscored that the Iranian delegation engaged in the talks with the aim of safeguarding national interests and upholding the legitimate rights of the Iranian people, demonstrating Iran’s commitment to a diplomatic resolution.
