TEHRAN: Iran has declared that the Strait of Hormuz is now fully open for the passage of all commercial vessels, marking a significant development in the region’s maritime activity.
According to Radio Pakistan, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, made the announcement public through a post on X on Friday. The decision comes as part of efforts to align with the ceasefire situation in Lebanon. Araghchi noted that the passage for vessels is open along the coordinated route, as previously specified by the Ports and Maritime Organisation of Iran.
