ISLAMABAD: US Charge d’Affaires to Pakistan Natalie Baker met with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Islamabad to discuss the regional situation and diplomatic efforts concerning the second round of Islamabad talks. According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions focused on diplomatic channels and the recent initiative by US President Donald Trump to extend the ceasefire, which was recognized by Naqvi as a crucial step towards reducing tensions in the region.
During the meeting, Naqvi emphasized the ongoing efforts by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means. He expressed hope that the involved parties would pursue a peaceful resolution. Baker commended Pakistan’s role in fostering peace and addressing regional conflicts.
