ISLAMABAD: Over 333 individuals were scrutinized during intensified search and combing operations conducted by the Islamabad Police in various areas of the federal capital. These operations aim to tackle crime and target criminal elements within the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were initiated following special directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by respective zonal SPs.
The comprehensive operations included checking 132 households, 16 hotels, 41 shops, 192 motorcycles, and 51 vehicles. Five individuals, three vehicles, and 27 motorcycles deemed suspicious were transferred to the police station for further verification. Additionally, law enforcement apprehended an individual for illegal possession of a weapon, recovering a pistol with ammunition.
SSP Operations Islamabad highlighted that these measures are part of efforts to tighten security and suppress criminal activities in the city.
