Indirect US-Iran Talks Progress Through Pakistan, Confirms Deputy Prime Minister


ISLAMABAD: Indirect communication between the United States and Iran is being facilitated by Pakistan, according to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar. The discussions, aimed at improving relations and addressing ongoing tensions, involve messages relayed by Pakistan as a mediator.



According to Radio Pakistan, Deputy Prime Minister Dar stated in a post on X that the United States has communicated 15 points which are currently under consideration by Iran. He highlighted the involvement of other supportive nations, including Türkiye and Egypt, in backing the diplomatic initiative.



Dar addressed what he termed as unnecessary media speculation surrounding the peace talks, which aim to resolve the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stressing that dialogue and diplomacy are essential for ensuring regional and global stability.
